Gingerbread Ornaments

Beautiful hand decorated gingerbread ornaments for the 2013 gingerbread village.

In this segment, originally aired December 3, 2014, we are in the studio making a gingerbread house from scratch.   This stove top method is a straight forward recipe to make your own dough, and doesn't require the use of a mixer.   Use your gingerbread house cookie cutters, or get creative and make your own templates!  Part 1 of 2.

In this segment, originally aired on December 10, 2014, we have taken our baked pieces and assembled them into a basic house.   A variety of fun candy and thin cookies were used for decoration.  Learn how you can also make your own sugar cone Christmas tree!   Part 2 of 2.

In our 3rd gingerbread segment, originally aired December 15, 2014, we take our same dough and cut pieces and create a New Mexico-themed gingebread house!   Tinted royal icing in a stucco finish gives your New Mexico gingerbread house an authentic texture.   Piped royal icing ristras, pretzel vigas, caramel luminarias and the signature turquoise door finishes your house!
